Sofia Pernas was born in Fes, Morocco, and saw a lot of the world before finally finding her way to Los Angeles. With a mind initially geared to reporting, Pernas' life took an unexpected turn when she was approached by a model Scout and later by an acting agent, who set her career on the right track. There is a belief that her unique appearance was influenced by a Moroccan father as well as an Galician mother. Sofia Pernas (born 1989) is an actor from Morocco and Spain who lives at Los Angeles. Her role is in The Brave. In the early years of her five her family moved to America and grew there in Orange County. Both her mother and father are multilingual. Her mother, who is Moroccan, originates from Morocco in the same way that her Spanish-born father originates from Spain. She can speak Arabic, English and Spanish along with German. Although she initially planned a career in journalism she switched to a career in modeling and acting after being scouted. She played Marisa Sierras in The Young and the Restless and was also a part of the CW telenovela, Jane the Virgin with Justin Baldoni as well as Gina Rodriguez. She is Hannah Rivera, a member of the Defense Intelligence Agency, in the NBC series The Brave.
