Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. She began her Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress as well as director, has spent the bulk of her professional career working with prominent directors and actors in film and on television. Ashford's next project will be a limited edition Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show will premiere on the 22nd of November and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will be available through Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford, who will appear as Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the upcoming March 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same team who brought us Hamilton is directing the show. Ashford's latest role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the national scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. Her two seasons on CBS show B Positive was her first major part. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are just a few of her Broadway performances. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and raised in Denver, now spends time living in Los Angeles and New York.
